Winchester Terrace is ready for Christmas this December! Our activities calendar is full of fun, and our residents are feeling the Christmas spirit! We’ve been holly and jolly by listening to holiday tunes, making seasonal treats, and more. Here’s a recap of some of our favorite moments:
We started the month right with Christmas festivities! On December 6th, our residents got crafty and made beautiful Christmas ornaments for the tree! Later that week, we made more fun designs, like snowmen and Santas. Arts and crafts always provide the perfect opportunity for chatting with friends while boosting creativity.
The Christmas celebration didn’t stop there! We kept up the fun with our musical guest Wilma on the piano and, later, musician Mark Staicer! They charmed our residents with their favorite Christmas songs. We enjoyed hearing some of those classics, which certainly made us smile!
Lastly, during our Cooking Corner session, we added sugar, spice, and everything nice to our Christmas sugar cookies. We made some gingerbread houses later during the week, too! Our residents were grateful for the sweet treats and the chance to show off their incredible decorating skills. We’ll be eating plenty of snowmen and Christmas tree cookies to share with friends and family who visit!
At Winchester Terrace, we know it’s essential to get our senior residents involved in activities promoting relaxation, social health, and especially holiday cheer during this time of year! Our activities are a big part of what makes living at Winchester Terrace so special, in addition to our caring staff who make it all happen!
