Now here’s a blog post we’re SUPER excited to share with you from our Winchester Terrace family! Just look at these stills! If you don’t follow us on social media, you might not have known that National Nursing Home Week falls in May. From May 9th through the 15th, we packed our activities with fun and celebrations for the occasion.
On May 10th, things got a little funky around with Funky Hat Day, plus a sundae bar with toppings of our residents’ choice. Who doesn’t love a good ice cream “social”? The next day, we brought the warm weather of the tropics to Mansfield, Ohio, for an indoor beach party complete with a water gun fight, beach ball toss, and hula-inspired garb. And who could forget our sock hop on May 13th? It was a “decades day” to write home about. The residents loved dancing to 50s tunes, and our staff also had fun in poodle skirts and retro costumes. To finish the week’s festivities, we also held indoor bowling and a DIY glam photoshoot (check out our Facebook or Instagram pages to see how those turned out!).
It’s safe to say that we are highly blessed at Winchester Terrace to have such a fantastic group of residents living at our facility. They’re always making us laugh and showing how rewarding it is to work in the senior care field, which is especially true because Skilled Nursing Care Week also took place this month.
If you’re looking into living arrangements for your aging loved ones, now is a great time to schedule a tour of Winchester Terrace. We think you’ll be surprised at just how lively we can be! Call our administrative staff at 419-756-4747 and ask how you can #experiencetheheartofcaring too.
