October Activities at Winchester Terrace

October is winding down at Winchester Terrace! It’s been a fun month for us, and our residents, full of great dining and snacks, beautiful fall foliage, and lots of laughs shared between friends. Our November activities calendar will be available to view soon. Still, before we jump into chillier weather and holiday preparations, we wanted to share with you some of our favorite activities from October.

Our social activities are all planned with the organization and creativity of our Activities Director. Each month, our calendar is filled with personal care, religious activities for those interested, games and movies, and fun snacks. We enjoy Halloween crafts here at Winchester Terrace because they help us get creative, have fun, and get festive for the holiday! One of our residents’ favorites was the pumpkin painting and jack-o-lantern creations.

We want our residents to be happy and healthy! Another important activity we had this past month at Winchester Terrace was dog therapy with our canine friend Emmet! We love to connect with our furry friends, and this activity helps our residents stay cheery! Dog therapy even helps with mental health needs and other health problems.

Finally, our residents really appreciated our pool noodle activity from last week. We take turns using pool noodles to toss balloons to each other and let off some steam. Our residents have found this activity helpful for range of motion (ROM) exercises and getting that light workout in.

In any senior living environment, it’s essential to feel at home. With our planned monthly activities at Winchester Terrace, we aim to do just that! Along with our friendly staff, welcoming and clean facility, and environment of like-minded seniors, staying social is a big part of what makes resident life special. We invite you to check out our November calendar and newsletter soon and keep up with us on social media for photo updates!
